TBF’s Conservation Mission Statement

"The Bass Federation Conservation Department is dedicated to the enhancement, restoration, preservation and public access to our water resources through conservation awareness, education and political action utilizing best management practices.

The Texas Bass Federations goals are aligned with the TBF’s – here's how;

Community outreach is one of the Texas Bass Federation core values. We are dedicated to giving back and improving communities across our vast state. Through our family-friendly events and community partnerships, we strive to build strong relationships everywhere we go. Community outreach is an integral part of our tradition of valued community service.

Our goal for conservation is for Texas to be the leader when it comes to conservation, fishing education and protection of our valued resources. We elevate our environmental commitment by fostering innovative approaches to conservation to maintain industry-leading results. We are committed to protecting the environment and educating others to do the same.

Current projects include Denton County Bass Clubs habitat restoration project in conjunction with Lewisville Aquatic Ecosystem Research Facility (LAERF) and Texas Parks and Wildlife. The project has been ongoing since 2011 and has included new aquatic vegetation plantings with over 200 plants of Giant Bulrush, Soft Stem Bulrush, Water Willows and Spike Rush along with fish habitat projects including: spider blocks, fish cages, vertical post installs, rock structures and fish condo’s installations

If your club is involved with any community outreach project or conservation effort, please let us know. If you need help getting a project started, we are here to support you in getting the project started.
