John Allen

Texas TBF State Conservation Director

Just a little about myself;

 I have lived in Texas most all of my life. I was born In Germany as my dad was in the Army. My dad is who got me started in fishing. I was fishing at Cleburne State park when I caught my first bass fishing from the bank.  I have bass fished since then but did not start tournament fishing until 4 years ago when I joined my first bass club. The club I joined was TBF affiliated so I also joined the TBF.  We have some of the greatest lakes to fish in Texas and I want our clubs along with TBF to keep it great for the next generation of fishermen.

The Texas TBF Federation can become a big part in improving our fisheries here in Texas.

Here are some of the things we need to be on the look out for. Then our Clubs and State can be a part of them.

Conservation Projects to look for:

1.) AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES CONTROL.

2.) Boat Access Improvement; New and Existing.

3.) Stocking - Bass and Bait fish.

4.) Fish Habitat Project.

5.) Shoreline Stabilization Habitat.

6.) Clean up Days on area Lakes.

We can get with our regional Texas Park & Wildlife Fisheries Biologist and they will help identify Projects that our State TBF and Club Chapters can help them with.

TBF’s Conservation Mission Statement
